Kinetic Diffusion
“Kinetic Diffusion” alludes to the energy in dancers: it is rooted in the ground and diffused through movement and expression. The circulation through the Emotive Institute of Modern Dance reflects this relationship: one enters through an inviting entrance that lifts them first into the rigidly planned space; then, as one ascends, more dynamic spaces are revealed as it signifies the diffusion of energy through apertures that push against the rigid form until it escapes. Like how dancers expend energy through their extremities to the audience, through diffusion and expression, the institute becomes a beacon of energy.
